Sarah Dojin Emerson

Sarah is one of the Head Priests at Stone Creek Zen Center in Sonoma County, CA. She lived and trained at Tassajara Zen Mountain center and other sites of the San Francisco Zen Center from 1997-2007. She ordained as a Zen Buddhist priest in 2007 and received transmission in 2015 with Rev. Gaelyn Godwin, Abbot of the Houston Zen Center. Sarah has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and incorporates training in psychology, grief, ritual, anti-racism and examining white privilege into her teaching in the Dharma. She also includes the many teachings of being a mother and partner into her life of practice.
