Diane Shoshin Fitzgerald
Zen DownEast (Maine)
Diane Shoshin received full Dharma transmission in 2017 in the Soto tradition (through the Jiyu-Kennett lineage) and in the Harada-Yasutani koan tradition (through the Robert Aitken lineage). She was ordained in 2013. Diane formed Zen DownEast (Maine) in 2012 and serves as its resident teacher. She leads the DownEast EcoSattva Sangha which, together with local eco-activist organizations, is deeply involved in local environmental initiatives. A Maine lawyer, Diane has been practicing Zen for nearly 30 years.
