Domyo Burk trained at Dharma Rain Zen Center in the Jiyu Kennett lineage. After practicing as a lay person for 5 years, she was ordained by Gyokuko Carlson in 2001 and then spent another 6 years in full-time residential training. Domyo received Dharma Transmission from Gyokuko in 2010. In 2011 Domyo founded a Zen center on Portland's westside, Bright Way Zen, where she serves as guiding teacher and executive director.
