Our mission is to create a Soto Zen Buddhist community  for all that supports a residential home for women. We also strive  to support  the national and southeastern Buddhist communities to integrate, explore and cultivate the spirituality of the feminine, body awareness, and family and children’s perspectives into the practice.

Great Tree Zen Temple seeks the breadth of Soto Zen practice, as described by Dogen Zenji, in ways that may not currently be understood or practiced.

We open our hearts and minds to cultivate an expansive and integrated awareness.
